I seem to recall Blender getting caught doing something similar a few years ago.

Hit Parader used to do it a LOT back in the '80s.
I'm going to guess this happens more often that not...
Blender is owned by Maxim if I'm not mistaken, so par for the course for them.

I remember reading a review for an album I owned years ago that reviewed the rhythm and bluesy tonality of a particular song and I almost peed myself because it wasn't a song at all -- it was the intro to the band at some live concert. It was priceless.

I'm not surprised, how many times have you read one of those reviews and though, "Jeezuz, did they actually listen to the CD?!!" Now you know the answer...

I can't say I've ever had that revelation, but I've also not ever run out and bought music based solely on a review.
