A few weeks ago Fluffy showed a lot of interest in what was we were doing in the backyard, so I opened the screen door expecting her to run away. Instead, she came outside with us and took a look around.
This statue. My guess is that the two neighborhood cats that roam through our backyard marked it somehow. She spent a good amount of time investigating him.
What? What's that over there?
Ahhh...grass I can eat......
Since we didn't want her puking in the house we stopped her before she could eat too much and brought her back outside, but we'll let her roam around some more later in the summer.

Hello, Vox. It's been a while. Just haven't had anything to write about really. But I just saw Star Trek at the IMAX theater at Jordan's Furniture in Reading and felt the need to share.
I went on Rotten Tomatoes before seeing it and at that time it had a 97% favorable rating (96% as of right now.) I saw than and figured there is no way the movie could live up to that expectation. Now I think the 4% who didn't like it are like the assclown baseball writers who don't vote for people like Nolan Ryan to make the Hall of Fame on the first ballot solely because no one has ever been unanimously chosen.
If you're telling me that as a movie reviewer you walked out of that theater and said "I didn't like that" or "I wasn't entertained" then I have no further interest in your opinions on any subject, let alone movies.
The casting was spot on. The acting was fantastic. The script and actors paid respect to their predecessors in these rolls without mimicking them. The action was almost non-stop and the breathers always helped fill in background on the plot.
I'd have to say this is the best movie I've seen since Return of The King.
Plus, JJ killed off a redshirt. How fucking cool is that?

1. Sox sweep the Yankees. Always a good thing
2. I'd told a friend of mine in Vegas that if he came up to New England for business to let me know and we'd meet up in Foxwoods to play some poker. I drove down Saturday. He won a few hundred dollars playing blackjack before I arrived. Our first poker session I was up about $120 and he was even. We went to eat dinner then sat down for session #2. He ended up winning about $150, I won $770. Doubled up once when I made a super-loose call on a pre-flop re-raise. I had K6d, he had pocket aces and the flop was 6-Q-5. After a few raises he went all in, lost all his money then was pissed off for the next half hour. I won three hands of about $100 each with top pair (which almost never happens) and on the final hand of the night hit a full house and had the other player go all-in in front of me. Good times!
3. Spent some quality time with the wife on Sunday. Did some shopping and bought dirt, fertilizer and some tomatoes and herbs to get planted today.
