I get back from experiencing the first week of March Madness in Las Vegas (which was a lot of fun) and then score tickets to the East Regional games Tonight and Saturday. 

Glad I won some money in Vegas, these regional seats aren't cheap but should be very good.  Pictures up soon!

Here are some videos I took at the show Friday (11/14/08.)  Not great, but they give you an idea of how close we were to the stage.  I have some pictures as well but need to clean them up a bit in PS  (I shot on shutter priority so I need to brighten them) before posting.

Bullet With Butterfly Wings

For Red Sox fans, last Thursday was one of the more incredible days in the history of the team (not including World Series victories.)

That was the day the Red Sox were seven outs away from ending their season and score eight runs to win the game in the bottom of the ninth. 

I'm one of the fortunate few, the fortunate 35,000.  Let me show you where I was that evening, not tell you.

The fat guy in the stands decided the crowd was dead and he needed to pump them up.  He also decided that taking his shirt off and trying to start the wave was the way to do it.  Surprisingly enough, it worked. 

Apple's latest retail store opened this week in Boston.  It's the biggest one yet and one of my friends wanted to make the Windows/Apple move so we went down and had lunch then got her a new MacBook. 

The outside of the store is pretty similar to the others, but I brought the Nikon and took some photos of the cool spiral staircase they have in the center of the store.

Too bad Boston tailed off so badly after their first album.

Always good to bang you head, and Metallica peaked on this album. 

I got my first roll back from the new Hi-Matic.  I was a bit worried that a camera that old would have light leaks but that's not the case.  Apparently it was so lightly used that even that wasn't a concern. 

I took a couple of shots in the backyard:

This shot is of part of the Boston skyline.  I forgot to turn the meter on for this one so I have no idea how the camera exposed it. 

I used my favorite test subject for most of these shots, I'm sure you're all familiar with her by now.

And since Fluffy is a monochromatic cat, I desaturated and cropped one of the bed shots.
